Request that the city commission decide de-cide upon the paving material to be used in paving Thirteenth East street, irrespective ot the soveral contrary petitions pe-titions being circulated among- property owners by representatives or the various vari-ous forms of material, is made in letters let-ters received by Richard P. Morris, street commissioner. Frank B. Stephens writes that tho property owners are noti in a position to know what material is best and aro signing whatovcr petition is presented to' them with the greatest amount of glib argument. Ho suggests that tho city, on advice of its engineer, make the choice itself. Richard P. Morris, street commissioner, commis-sioner, has recommonded bitulithic, but no action was taken because of the petitions pe-titions presented for I tab rock asphalt and for refined asphalt. |
