The Deliver Deli-ver Chamber of Commerce, at its weekly luncheon today, took Initial action In a plan which aims to bring about a complete com-plete and permanent readjustment of the freight rate situation In tho trans-Missouri territory. Governor Spry of Utah, who was here early this week, discussed the proposition and gave the assurance that Salt Lake would co-operato in the plan outlined today. In fact, Governor Spry helped to inspiro the stand taken at tho IuncTteon, The movement Is the most comprehensive comprehen-sive ever undertaken by a western city. It Is local only In its conception, as success suc-cess of the plan tentatively outlined at the meeting- means a solution of the transportation problems with which every commercial point In the west has been struggling for years. This, it is proposed, sliall bo brought about through the concerted efforts of every city in the region affected, with the co-operation of the railroads and the sanction of the Interstate commerce commission. com-mission.
