Show Watercolor Exhibit To Hang in CSU Library Lounge An art exhibit, featuring Gaell Llndstrom, well known Utah ar-tlst, ar-tlst, and assistant professor of art at College of Southern Utah, is hanging In the library lounge at C S U. Much of Lindstrem's work just returned from San Francisco where It was hung at the City of Paris Rotunda gallery. Mrs. Beatrice Bea-trice Judd Regan, curator from the gallery, Invited Mr. Llndstrom Llnd-strom to feature his work with two other artists during March and April. The drawings and paintings will be on exhibit during summer sum-mer school until July 12, Dr. Roy-den Roy-den CBraithwaite, director, announced. an-nounced. Mr. Llndstrom has won the highest awards offered in state art shows and has been an annual an-nual prize winner at the Utah state Fair during the past few years. He also had the distinct honor of being represented in the American Water Color Society exhibition In New York. A former student at the Salt Lake Art Barn, the University of Utah, and Pennsylvania Academy Acade-my of Fine Arts, he centers much of his work around the open beauty of Utah, Arizona and Nevada. Ne-vada. Since studying with many outstanding New England paint-ers paint-ers in Gloucester. Mass., and Cape Ann, Mr. Llndstrom has painted harbor and marine subjects. sub-jects. He is fast gaining recognition and repute for his work with the watercolor medium. |
