MILES Special Recognition Extended Students At Commencement During commencement exercises exer-cises at College of Southern Utah, at which Elder LeGrand Richards, Rich-ards, chairman of the Board of Ttustrees for USAC was featured speaker, Laurena Jones, Cedar City, and Jack Neilson, Leamington, Leaming-ton, were named to receive the citizenship awards. I These awards are regarded as the highest student achievement In contribution towards fellow students and student college life at CSU. Another distinct award honored honor-ed Sonya Nlelson, a senior graduate grad-uate from Monroe, who was the recipient, of the Mildred I. Sar-gent Sar-gent Womanhood award. She was voted by faculty members to possess pos-sess virtues characteristic to outstanding out-standing womanhood. Sonya has been a leader in student affairs. She has served as honorary lieutenant lieu-tenant colonel for the AFROTC Sponsors Corps, president of the XI Lambda Tau sorority, and has been on various student committees. commit-tees. Jack Nlelson gained recognition recogni-tion while serving as editor of the weekly campus newspaper.
