Show Gaylord Whitney Elected Head Of Cedar Lions GAYLORD WHITNEY j Results of the election held for officers in the Lions Club of Cedar City for the 1956-57 year were announced by Herschel Neeley, president. J Balloting took place at the regular meeting of the civic club on Monday, May 21. Elected to succeed Neeley as president of the organization was Gaylord Whitney, administrator for the National Guard unit located lo-cated In Cedar City. Other officers elected were as follows: First vice president, Wallace Osborne; second vice president, Floyd Bingham; third vice president, presi-dent, Clifton Chatterley; Lion tamer, Leland Heywood. and tail twister, Uoss Glass. Two club members were elected to the board of directors. They were Harold Wycoff and A. W. Stephenson. Steph-enson. The newly elected officers will be Installed In their various capacities ca-pacities at installation ceremonies ceremon-ies contemplated near the end of June. Traditionally the Install lation banquet will be held at Cedar Breaks lodge. Outgoing officers In addition to Neeley will be D. C. Schmutz. first vice president; Haze Hunter, second vice president; Ren Tay. lor, third vice president; Whitney, Whit-ney, Hon tamer; G. D. MacDon-aid, MacDon-aid, tall twister; Dee Cowan, secretary sec-retary and Joe Atkln, treasurer. Two members will be released from the board of directors. Including In-cluding Howard Wood and Frank Dalley. Holdover directors to serve during the next year will be Tony Lambert and Carlyle Mitchell. The appointive position of secretary sec-retary and treasurer were also announced by Whitney. Secretary will be M. L. Chrlstensen and treasurer for the next term will be Corry Olson. |
