Show IGood Shepard Bazaar. ( The bazaar for the benefit of the Good Shepherd was opened on Dee. 7 and will continue until the 16lh. The contestants for the diamond ring are Misses Lillian Fielding, Nina Robinson Robin-son and Ella Brown. This, will be I given the woman receiving, the high- j est number of votes. The participants in the doll contest will be Misses Catherine Boyle, Virginia Ruins and Marie Frederick. The Sisters of the Good Shepherd I have issued the following statement, )t telling of he purpose of their organi- zation: j The Sisters of the Good Shepherd I take this means of informing the pub- I lie in general that their home is always - I open for th reception of girls and wo- I mjn who earnestly desire to reform their lives. The Home of the Goom Shepherd will prove to them a safe retreat re-treat from the dangers of the world. They wiil be encouraged and aided by the Sisters in their desire for reformatio:!. reforma-tio:!. They are free to remain as long as they will, and leave whenever they desire. Every girl or woman, no matter mat-ter of what creed, color or nationality, who has been led into the ways of vice or strayed, from the paths of virtue, wijl find a warm and hearty welcome at the house of the Good Shepherd. One condition alone is required, and that is an earnest desire for self-reformation. T enter the Home of the Good Shepherd, such girls have simply to apply ap-ply of their own accord to the Sisters. The home is situated at Cedar and Evans streets. Denver, Colo. The Sisters of . the Good Shepherd have also in charge the protectorate for younger girls who arc- inclined to be wayward, and little children who are exposed to the dangers of the world. This protectorate is entirely distinct from the girls' reformatory home. To place children in this asylum parents or guardians should call at the Convent or write to the Sisters. These children remain in the asylum as long as the parents or guardians desire de-sire it. Let those who are desirous of entering enter-ing the home, or parents who wish to entrust their girls to the care of the Sisters in the Protectorate remember that it is a free and voluntary act on . . their part, unattended by court proceedings pro-ceedings -or any publicity whatever HOME OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD. |
