Show The Independent speaking of a work by Frank M. Foster, professor of theology the-ology in Pacific Theological Seminary, which bears the title, "Fundamental Ideas of the Roman Cathoiic Church, Explained and Described for Protestants Protest-ants and Catholics," calls it a "book of first value" and "an absolutely impar- j tial attempt to present the Roman Catholic view In the most ideal form it is capable of." A careful ex-examination ex-examination of this book will convince any candid reader that it is the exact opposite of what the Independent pronounced pro-nounced it. In many respects It is on a par with the bigoted work of James M. King. The responsible editor of the Independent In-dependent undoubtedly never saw the reference in his paper to which we call attention. |
