Show St. John's Fair. The Catholic fair at St. John's church at Harman opened last Wednesday. Several contests had been arranged. Miss Nellie Lockhart and Miss Anna O'Brien were entered in the voting contest con-test for a prize of a diamond ring; Mrs. Waterman and Mrs. Pierson in the contest for a dinner set; Maggie H utter. Annie Kelley, Lillian Doyle, Katie Kreutz and Loretta Phelps for a bicycle; Harriet Smith and William Hickey for a violin: ex-Alderman La-mont La-mont and Harry Ball for a gold-headed cane. The fair was opened with a short programme pro-gramme by Mrs. Maude Clover and a grand ball Wednesday evening, followed fol-lowed by a programme Thursday evening even-ing with "Bill Xye" Hamilton in original orig-inal selections: Miss Alice Fulton, vocal solo; Buckingham quartette string in- I slruments; C. Moore Fonda, vocal solo; Miss Katie Smith and Harriet Smith.; piano duet; Albert Smith, song; Albert McMillan and John Motley, song. Friday.
