We received a very pleasant call from The Intermountain Catholic representative. represen-tative. - - Our choir was very much improved last Sunday by the able assistance of Mr. Roth. We are glad to Avelcome to Montrose Mont-rose another Catholic, Mrs. P. B. Hirsh, to swell our congregation. The new bank building on Third street is fast nearing completion, its front being one of the prettiest in town. Miss Anna Gray stopped here on her way from Howardsville to Salt Lake City for a short visit with her father and sister. Mrs. Menen of Victor is here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Kelly. Kel-ly. Her many friends are glad to welcome wel-come her back again. The ladies of the congregation of St. Mary's Church are preparing to give a dinner New Years' day; also a ball and supper in the evening. M. L. A somewhat exciting football game was played here Thanksgiving day, Montrose vs. Delta. The game ended 16 to 0 in favor of Montrose. A young lady from Victor is engaged in teaching the Eighth grade now. The former teacher, Mrs. Brown, finding the duties too numerous, has resigned. re-signed. - . ' Miss Julia Courtney gave a party Thanksgiving night for her young friends. All spent a most delightful evening and left voting Miss Julia a model hostess. |
