Heretofore Hereto-fore the stopover passenger has had to take chances on being ahlc to secure sleeping 'space on through trains. It is declared, which has been disadvantageous to local tourist traffic. Tho following resolution was parsed: That we hereby express our approval ap-proval of the proposed appropriation by the legislature of 52000 annually to continue explorations and excavations excava-tions among the ruins of tho prehistoric pre-historic Inhabitants of Utah and the great southwest. We feel that Utah has a unique opportunity to develop i an unexcelled state 'museum collection col-lection of the valuable avllos of tho ancient cliff dwoliers jf it does not delay until the national government permits this material to pass into other hands. Wo earnestly urge upon the legislature the need of saving sav-ing tnlu archaeological material -before It all disappears, and at the same tune- give Utah the distinction of saving the finest collection of this kind In existence.
