Is unexpected. A docroase was anticipated antici-pated on account of the smaller production produc-tion of copper last fall by the Utah Copper Cop-per and Nevada Consolidated proper-tics, proper-tics, whose operations wore hampered for several montli9 by labor troubles. The Copper Producers' statistics deal with each month's refinery production, not With the mlr output, and it usually takes throo months for copper to reach tho market from the mine. It Is evident, evi-dent, therefore, that tho refineries had a sufficient supply of unrefined copper on band to compensate for the loss of mine production as above stated, which Is a cpiestlon that has ibeen ff'vcn a great deal of attention during the past year. Tho worlds visible coppor slocks on February 1 measured 210,679,352 pounds. Tho world's supply has been worldng up steadily plnce July, 1912, when tho total was 137590.524 pounds.
