Show N- ! Frank Collier Frank Collier dies at 88 Frank Collier, Vernal, died Nov. 10, 1981 at the Ashley Valley Medical Center of a heart ailment at the age of 88. He was born Oct. 12, 1893 in Vernal to Joab and Theodocia Keller Collier. He married Rowena Stevens Oct. 29, 1913 in Vernal and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Frank was a farmer and rancher. He was active in the LDS church, serving in the bishopric and filling a stake mission. Services were held Saturday, Nov. 14 in the Vernal 3rd Ward Chapel with Bishop Brian O'Neil officiating. The family prayer was given by Ted Williams. Prelude and postlude music was done by Dennis Spackman. Duane Hall sang "Dand Home," and Jan King sang "Going Home," accompanied by Cathy Moorehouse. Hyrum Slaugh gave the invocation with remarks by Bishop O'Neil and speakers Bishop Wade Slaugh and Bishop Marvin Jackson. The benediction was done by Bob Cook and Edgar Jones dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Leon Slaugh, Dan Collier, Wayne Collier, Bruce McGovern, Roger Perry and Kelvin Collier. The Vernal 3rd Ward Relief Society was in charge of the flowers. Interment was in the Vernal Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters, Harlen Collier and Mrs. Ted (Iona) Williams, Vernal; Melvin, Deer Park, Wash., and Mrs. Joe (Emma) Long, Casper, Wyo.; a sister, Mrs. Mable Henrie, Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. |
