Show ' 1 Lapoint 4rdo Monsf'eld ;j7-2375 V Johnson reception held Mr. and Mrs. Earl Warburton went to the reception of their grandson Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Johnson last week. The reception was held in the Clearfield LDS Chapel. They were married in the Ogden Temple. Mr. Johnson is also the grandson of . Chole Johnson of Deep Creek. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Johnson. Dorothy Cox left this week to spend the winter in Arizona. New families moving into the ward are Mr. and Mrs. Call who have moved into the Rulon Rasmussen home and Mr. and Mrs. Stratton have moved into the Douglas Rasmussen home. Moving from Lapoint the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Hamilton and family. They went to Vernal for the winter. The pheasants were out in abundance this year and one family had a very successful hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Winn gave a pheasant dinner for their daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Reidhead from Roosevelt. Rod Hullinger and John Lemon of Roosevelt were speakers in sacrament meeting Sunday. The Lundberg children gave the musical number with their mother Rolaine Lundberg playing the accompaniment. Merrill Rasmussen went to the senior citizen dance in Roosevelt with members from the Basinaire Orchestra. The Lapoint post office is being remodeled to get more boxes for the growing population of Lapoint. The mail has tripled in the last two years. Vernon Esplin came home last Wednesday to help his father Jim Esplin get their cattle ready for shipment. Vernon is attending school at the University of Utah. LeAnn Johnson visited at the Mansfield residence this past weekend. LeAnn is attending at-tending school at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Motoring to Salt Lake City last Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Kay Winn. Thelma Winn took care of the store while they were gone. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Huber are spending a month with their son Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Huber in Pennsylvania. They left this past week. Francis Lou Stubbs, Reva Workman and Merle Horrocks went to Craig, Colo, to visit their sister Pearl Preece this past week. |
