Show By Joan Janes We have just received word about this winter's Energy Assistance Program. The applications will be available on Dec. 7 at the Golden Age Center beginning at 2 p.m. Every Monday and Thursday at the Center someone will be available to assist in filling out the applications. For those who are homebound and can't get out to fill out forms contact Social Services or the Golden Age Center and someone will come to your home to assist. The telephone number for Social Services is 789-5850 and the Golden Age Center 789-2169. Monday, Nov. 23 will be the Thanksgiving dinner at the Center. Plan on joining your friends and enjoy this special day with us. Following dinner at 2 p.m. a group of Vernal Jr. High students will be presenting a special talent program for our enjoyment. en-joyment. Last week Bingo winners were Lorna Holmes in 1st place with five games. Alice Mott and Phyllis Warby tied for 2nd place with four games each. A little rain didn't keep the Friday night dancers home, the crowd was better than ever. A belated "Happy Birthday" was sung to everyones favorite saxaphone player, Newell Behunia Newcomers were Bob and Norma Powell of Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Daris Rasmussen, Tex Rowalt's guests Lora and Leona Miller. Lora, of Payson and Leona of Cedar City are former Glenn girls raised here in Vernal. See you all again Friday night. |
