On hand to represent the groups world headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, was George H. Cook. Along with overseeing the convention, Mr. Cook took an active part in the program. He stated "The attitude of many people today reflects an independent, in-dependent, undisciplined spirit. A lack of subjection sub-jection in the world has led to a lawless state of affairs. Christians need to be cautious that this spirit of independence doesn't make inroads in their lives. Failure to watch this leads to all kinds of problems within marriages, families, youth and people in general." The highlight of the meet was the public address Sunday afternoon. af-ternoon. Mr. Cook said. "Christians need to be careful in what they read, watch in movies and on television. They must seek out wholesome association and companionship." com-panionship."
