Show GPW club elects Pauline Nelson as prexy Mrs. Pauline Nelson was named president of the Cedar City Business and Professional Women's Club at the organizations organi-zations meeting held this past week. She will succeed Neola Brown at the helm of the service ser-vice organization for the 1972-73 1972-73 year. Other officers elected to serve with Mrs. Nelson include: in-clude: Mrs. Phyllis Hart, vice president; Miss Ella Van Grongingen, recording secretary; secre-tary; Mrs. Sue Rollo, corresponding corres-ponding secretary; and Mrs. Pam Crowther, treasurer. Installation of the new officers of-ficers will be completed at a later date. In addition to the elections Mrs. Nelson, program chairman, chair-man, conducted a panel discussion, dis-cussion, in review of program goals and their attainment Panel members were Elizabeth Dewsnip, personal development; develop-ment; Fern Leigh, legislation; Ella VanGrongingen, world affairs; and Janet Burch, civic participation. Forty members of the BPW Club were welcomed to the meeting by president, Mrs. Brown. Tables were decorated with bright spring flowers. In addition, Miss Karla Hu-let Hu-let reminded the group that the BPW Foundation is now 16 years old. The Foundation is located in Washington, D.-C. D.-C. at the club's national headquarters. head-quarters. Primary purpose of the foundation is education and to elevate the standards of working women, to promote pro-mote interest of Business and Professional Women, to bring about a spirit of cooperation among business and profes-ional profes-ional women of the United States and to extend opportunities oppor-tunities along lines of industrial, indust-rial, scientific, and vocational activities. . Miss Hulet indicated that "it's reference service Is available avail-able to all who wish to use it. It provides a profile of typical business and professional women and conducts a talent bank of qualified women for policy making posts." |
