Show Lions plan projects, to ballot on new officer slate At the regular luncheon meeting of the Parowan Lions Club, held Thursday evening at the Firelight Restaurant, a number of matters of business were taken care of, it is announced an-nounced by Earl Bunn, club president. Discussed was the coming Zone 28H annual dinner to be held at Zion Park on May 13 The Parowan and St. George clubs have been asked to furnish fur-nish the musical numbers for this event. They discussed a donkey baseball game, which appar-' ently fell upon deaf ears, at , least no decision was made. ; The national White Cane project involving all Lions clubs was discussed and the project is underway in this area and it was felt that it will be completed by the coming com-ing week end. This is a project pro-ject for the aid of the blind people of the country. , ' Bunn stated that the election elec-tion of new officers of the club is being held at this J.ime with the voting being , done by mail ballot. The results re-sults of the voting will be announced at the next meet-' ing on April 27, with the new officers to be installed near , . July 1. Some further improvements are being studied for the Lion .1 Park at the swimming pool. They are planning to move r; the city irrigation ditch which runs across the center of the planted area, around to the j-north j-north end of the pool, also : to level and plant grass in the area lying east of the pool over to the Parowan Canyon" road. , |
