Show Parowan Auxiliary names Girl State representatives from PH$ on the yearbook staff and was a dancer in last year's Shakespearean Shakes-pearean Festival and plans to do this again this year She is junior class representative to the Seminary and AGS representative repre-sentative to the student council. coun-cil. She was a member of the Junior Prom Committee, and is also on the Chemistry trip. Ei-- mil TfffTJS ft rd S: If tiWf ft . , lwj ttfctfJfrvW'' DEANNA ADAMS L Jtes hl The Parowan High School delegates to Girls' State, 1972, have been chosen by the Parowan Par-owan unit of the American Legion Auxiliary, according to Mrs. Earl W. Orton of that organization. Each year the auxiliary does the picking, and sponsors or gets sponsors to furnioh funds for the girls. Girls State will be held on the campus of Southern Utah State College for the week of June 4 to 9. The girls were selected on the bases of scholarship, lead-1 !ership and interest in city, state and national govern-! ment The girls are supervis- j ed by members of the Dept. of Utah Auxiliary officers as wel as members of various local units. They are expected to return much of the things learned back to their own high schools-Mrs. schools-Mrs. Orton announces that the following girls, all members mem-bers of the junior class at Parowan High, have been se- : lected as delegates: I Mary Jayne Halterman, De anna Adams, Jane Dillon and Sheila Evans, Miss Halterman Halter-man is a daughter of Mr. and Lyle Halterman; Miss Adams is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Adams; Miss Dillon is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Dillon, Jr., and Miss Evans is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Farris Evans. Miss Dillon has an excellent excel-lent scholastic record and is intensely interested in science. sci-ence. She is active in dramatics drama-tics at school, dong the program pro-gram for "Time Out for Ginger" Gin-ger" She is a member of the Rammettes, school pep club. This week she is with other chemistry students on the trip to the various observatories in Arizona and California. Miss Evans is an active member of the Marching Rammettes, which performed last week end in the Region Eight marching festival She assists with the absentee records rec-ords in the school office Also an active member of the LDS Church she is serving serv-ing as secretary for the Second Sec-ond Ward Sunday School. Miss Halterman has an excellent ex-cellent scholastic record and is active in extra-curricular affairs. A member of the Rammettes Ram-mettes marching group, she is also secretary of the junior i class, the AGS and was an ac-Icompanlst ac-Icompanlst for the production of "Oliver"'. She is serving as Seminary Librarian and is on the chemistry chem-istry trip. She is also chorister for the Third Ward Junior Sunday School.
