Show Region 8 Marching Festival features Aggiettes The Region Eight Marching I Festival was held at the Parowan Par-owan High School Saturday afternoon and evening, with the events taking place in the gym, Approximately 250 girls from nine high schools in the region participated in the activities ac-tivities which began with a buffet supper served by the P H S Rammettes, who were hostesses for the event. Competitive marching began be-gan at 7 p. m. with each of the participating groups presenting pre-senting a ten minute show, using one piece of required music and one of their own choosing. ! The evening show was culminated cul-minated by a performance by ! the Utah State University Aggiettes Ag-giettes a nationally recognized recogniz-ed precision drill dance group, advised by Mrs. Jackie Fullmer, Full-mer, and their performance was really enjoyed by the rather ra-ther large audience on hand for the evening. The Aggiette officers and Mrs. Fullmer judged the competitive com-petitive marching. The awards were presented after the Aggiette Ag-giette show as follows: Dixie Jetcttes, first place; Cedar Mohey Tawa, second place; Special awards were as follows: Originality, Delta Tri-Delts; Tri-Delts; Best Show, Cedar Mohey Mo-hey Tawa; Inspection, Dixie Jetettes, and Spirit, Hurricane Tigerettes. |
