Show iindermans selected to Judge "lesfc of Show" Awards for Annual Art inhibit Judging of the 32nd Annual Cedar City Invitational Art Exhibit will 'be done by Dr. and Mrs. Earl W. Linderman. Dr. Linderman is Chairman, Department of Art, Arizona State University. Judging of the exhibit will be finished by the opening tea at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22nd. This year the exhibit is very fortunate to have such distinguished dis-tinguished judges. Marlene Linderman is a former exhibitor exhibi-tor at the Cedar City Invitational. Invita-tional. In addition, she has exhibited in the fallowing competitive exhibitions: Library Li-brary of Congress, Washington D. C; Crocker Art Gallery, Sacramento, California ; Albright Al-bright Art Gallery, Buffalo, i New York; Rochester Memorial Memor-ial Gallery, Rochester, New York; Madison Square Garden, i New York City: Phoenix Art 'v ) h! wi Oregon State University and Arizona State University. His publications include: DEVELOPING DEVEL-OPING ARTISTIC AND PERCEPTUAL PER-CEPTUAL AWARENESS, 1969; INVITATION TO VISION, 1967; and TEACHING SECONDARY SCHOOL ART, 1971; his pub-lisher pub-lisher is William C. Brown Company. He is curently consulting con-sulting editor for the series: TRENDS IN ART EDUCATION, published by William C. Brown Company, 1972. He is research reader for the United States Office of Education 1965 to present. He is editor of the ART TEACHING SUCCESS NEWSLETTER, first year of issue, 1971-72. Dr. and Mrs. Linderman are the parents of five children: Bill, 17; Mark, 14; Heather, 12; Gwen, 10; and Cheryl, 4. They make their home in Scotts-dale, Scotts-dale, Arizona. The second Saturday of the exhibit is open at the present time as to program possibilities, possibilit-ies, the final Saturday evening program will be in the form of ' a jazz concert under the ' direction of Harold Boyce, Southern Utah State College Music Department, DR. Mrs. Linderman has her master's degree from Pennsylvania Pennsyl-vania State University and she has done graduate work at Sacramento State College i and Arizona State University. 1 She Is presently comioleting a book - titled TEACHING DRAWING AND PAINTING IN THE ELEMETARY CLASSROOM CLASS-ROOM to be published by William C Brown in 1973. Television Tel-evision experience has included includ-ed illustrating - visuals for KOOL News, Channel 10 (Tempe, Arizona), graduate course in television procedures, procedur-es, working with cameras, presenting in -circuit programs at Penn State and she Just completed sketching the Louis Taylor Trial for Channel 10 and Bill Close. Dr. Linderman received his EdiD. in Art Education, Pennsylvania Penn-sylvania State University in 1960. He Is a professor of art and chairman of the Department Depart-ment of Art at Arizona State. He has held this position since 1966. He has also had experience experi-ence in teaching In Pennsylvania, Pennsyl-vania, California and Oregon.
