He will present pre-sent a one-man. show of his paintings and graphic works at SUSC music center beginning May 4. Cedar City artist captures honors at All-Utah exhibit at Springville Randy Holmj Southern Utah State College art major, won first place recently in the professional pro-fessional division of the All-Utah All-Utah Open Art Exhibit at the working for the SUSC Art Department De-partment as an Art Department Depart-ment Assistant and tentatively plans to attend graduate school after graduation this spring. Mr. Holm will be presenting present-ing a one-man show May 4 through 31 at the SUSC music center and will feature paintings paint-ings and graphic works. ''Laura", presently on display dis-play at Weber State College in a Utah college Student Exhibition, Ex-hibition, will be shown also. While the Springville exhibit ex-hibit marked Mr. Holm's first professional prize he has won several others in amateur divisions of various exhibits. : For two consecutive years (1970 and 1971) he won "Best in Show" awards in the Cedar City Amateur Art Show. In 1969 he" won honorable mention men-tion in the same amateur division. ; i His work was exhibited in the Utah State Capitol Exhibit for 1969-70 and one of his paintings were chosen for the Traveling Utah State Capitol Exhibit the same year. At SUSC Mr. Holm illustrated illustrat-ed the 1970-71 Student Handbook Hand-book and printed and designed design-ed posters and phamphlet covers for various organizations. organiza-tions. His work will be featured featur-ed in the SUSC yearbook, TAVI this year. . He Is the recipient of the Mary Bastow Award, an art scholarship service award for 1971-72, and also the Art Department De-partment Scholarship for 1971-72. 1971-72. At the present time he is |
