Show HUGHES LEAGUE IS National Organization Appoints Ap-points a Committee to Look After Interests. The Hughes National College league, with headquarters in New York, yesterday yester-day announced the appointment of a committee com-mittee in Utah to take charge of the work of the organization in this state.' The committee is composed of William D. Rltcr, Moses C. Davis, Walter W. Little, Lit-tle, Samuel C. Park and Stanley C. Sears. Upon, receipt of the announcement the members of the committee met yesterday yester-day afternoon and selected William D-Ritcr D-Ritcr as chairman. Information (hat the organization of the committcohad been efl'ected and other data desired was communicated com-municated last night to the national headquarters, and further instructions are expected within the next day or two. The Hughes National Collegf Jjteamie is an organization of alumni of colleges in the United States; ' which will devote its energies to the election of Governor Charlea K. Hughes to the presidency. The local branches or committees organized organ-ized In each Ktate will offer the sei vices of their members to the local Republican and Progressive organizations, with ff view to assisting" the campaign of Governor Gov-ernor Hughes in every possible manner. They are expected, if called upon, to participate par-ticipate in the speaking tours, organize meetings and parades, make personal canvasses of voters and workto get out full Republican ' registration and a full vote on ejection day. The work of organizing the branches Is under the direction of Lang-don Lang-don P. Marvin of Harvard university and S-amuel J. Reid. Jr., secretary of the Princeton club of New York. |
