BRIGHAM CITY, Sept. 22. A meeting of the business men of this city was held at the Commercial club last nigiit., It was decided to hold a rousing celebration celebra-tion commemorating the competition of the sugar factory in this city. No definite date was set for the celebration, cele-bration, with the exception that the meeting meet-ing decided to hold it before the opening of the sugar-making campaign at tiie local lo-cal factory, v. hlch will be between October Oc-tober 10 and 1". The date will rest with the action of the city eounei when it is apprised of the action of The business men in regard to having a public demonstration. In all likelihood, the date will be ''October t. President J. Francis Men-ell of the Commercial Com-mercial club was made chairman of the meeting and Victor K. Madsen secretary. The following committees were named: Kxecutive committee, i-'rank W. Fiah-burn, Fiah-burn, chairman; Victor E. Madsen, K. M. Tyson. Charles Edwards and James K. Malverson: finance. Judge J. D. Call. John D. Peters of tiie First National bank and Nephi .1. Valentine: programme. W. Voscoe Call, J. K. Kirk bam and U, I,. Fish burn. The executive committee was authorized to wait upon the city council tomorrow night to get its support for the enterprise. It was decided to make the celebration general for Boxelder county and that Brig ham City should act as host to the many outside .visitors Who will be here to ( elebrate with Brigham. An effort will be made to e'-ure low rates on the railroads from points within Boxelder county to this city for the occasion. |
