H. W. Airey was chosen chairman and AY. E. Schoppe was re-elected secretary sec-retary of the Salt Lake county Progressive Pro-gressive committee by unanimous vote of the members of the county committee commit-tee and the county and legislative candidates can-didates at a meeting held yesterday afternoon at the city and county building. An executive committee also was chosen, consisting of the chairman and secretary of the county committee and Dr. F. K. Morgan, Hugh A. Mc-Millin Mc-Millin and J. It. Nilson. The Progressive countv committee and the Bull Moose candidates on the county and legislative fusion ticket will meet tonight with the county Democratic Dem-ocratic committee and Democratic county coun-ty and legislative candidates. The meeting meet-ing will be held on the mezzanine floor of the Newhousc hotel at S o'clock for the purpose of discussing and outlining plans for the campaign. The Democratic committee selected B. Y. Mendenhall as its chairman some time ago. but the selection of a secretary probably will be taken up at tonight's meeting. According to the present plans of the Democratic, and Progressive county organizations, joint headquarters will be maintained for the county campaign. |
