Show ELECTIONS HELD AT L. D. S. UNIVERSITY Officers Are Chosen at the Institution by Both Seniors and Sophomores. Class elections at the L. D. S. university univer-sity wore held yesterday afternoon. The seniors went into the finals as the results re-sults of the primary were posted early. Don Rickens was elected president, having hav-ing a small majority over the other candidate, can-didate, David Watts. Miss Kinnia Gillespie Gil-lespie defeated Miss Mary Roinney for the vice presidency by three votes. These two offices were closely contested, both in the primaries and in the finals, and the results could not be determiner! until the last ballots had been counted. Kphraini Bjorkluud was the successful candidate for the office of secretary-treasurer, secretary-treasurer, -winning over Miss Lois Dal-ton. Dal-ton. Elmer Dean defeated Lee Robinson Robin-son for athletic manager. Dean is the captain of the Gold and Blue basketball team and one of tlie best athletes at the local school. The hop managers are Mies Mary Ross and Wallace Freeze, and the only candidate for yell master, Osmond Jlyde, was elected unanimously. The sophomores held only primary elections. Fielding Smith and Russell Morris were the lucky candidates for the presidency, and Miss Julia Taylor and Miss Maude Anderson will meet in the finals for the office of vice president. The secretary will bo chosen from Miss Alice Nelson ami Miss Margaret Stewart, Stew-art, and Miss Lucille Schettler and Miss Dorothy Snow are up for treasurer. Four hop-manaerers. two boys and two girls, were elected as follows: Yovle James, Milton Cutler, Miss Lueile Srhottler and M iss M ildred Burrows.
