Show BRIGHAM CITY SEEKS NEW WATER SUPPLY Would Generate Power for Municipal Lighting Plant and Commercial Commer-cial Concerns. Of the three water filings placed on reeorrt yesterday at the office of V. D. Beers, state engineer, the most important was that of Brigham Citv. This municipality Becks twelve cubic feet of water per second from Boxelder creek. This water is to be utilized to generate lighting power for tho city and also to furnish power for commercial concerns. The city of Brig-ham Brig-ham states its intention to construct a dam with headgate and spillway. The water- will be conducted through 5300 feet of wood stave and 400 feet of steel pipe. .John B. Fluhman of Antelope stake seeks permission to secure sufficient water from a spring in Uintah county to irrigate five acres of land. An earthen dam and 2500 feet of channel will complete this work. Donald Schmitz of Washington coun-tv coun-tv has 200 acres of land for which he seeks irrigation water. His source of diversion is from Red Butte canyon creek, with an earthen dam aud 18,S40 feet of ditch. |
