Show Hurricane 3Iiss Audrey Ballard Tteportor R. D. Adams and two sons, Bert .and Rex left Tuesday for a month's vacation. They will spend part of their time on the coast and also Yellowstone National Na-tional Park. JIarold Johnson and Hush Gibson Gib-son went to Overton Tuesday seeking employment. Air. and Mrs. M. P. Fawson .inc'1 two children arrived here from Salt Lake City where they have been during the summer. 'They are leaving on Friday for Coalville where Mr. Fawson has a position as business instructor in-structor in the high school there, lie has been employed in the Hurricane high business department depart-ment for the past three years. Mrs. John Tobler and daughter, daugh-ter, Barbara were guests Sunday at 1he Fenton Whitney home. The Misses Leora and Afton Johnson arrived home Monday from San Jose, California where they have been staying with relatives rela-tives for the past two months. Miss Dica Perkins of Cane TSeds spent the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sanders. .She returned home Monday. Ward Gibson went to herd .sheep on Kolob Monday. Miss Eleanor Nicholes, English instructor at the Hurricane high school arrived here Tuesday from .ner home in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cosslett of Cedar City came down to get 'their daughters, Iva Lynn and Helen, who have been guests of "Mr. and Mrs. Errol Woodbury.' The cannery officials announced Tuesday that they had completed their quota of peaches which was 31,000 cans and that work will begin soon on the allotted pears. Monday was a record day in that the workers put out 4.259 cans, the most ever completed in one day's work. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thurston, who have been visiting at the R. p. Woodbury home left Sunday for their home in Overton. Heber Empey of St. George has been staying with his daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Bliss. He went home Monday. Lee, xeturned to their home in Las Vegas on Tuesday. The Misses Wilma Pollock of Kanarraville and Leora Bayles of Parowan spent Tuesday with Mr. nnd Mrs. J. M. Hinton. I Principal P. H. Gates returned home last Friday from Flagstaff, Arizona where he has completed a six week's course at the Arizona Ari-zona State Teacher's college. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Clark and family left Sunday on a motor trip which will take them to Provo, Salt Lake City and over to the coast to the San Francisco Fran-cisco Fair. They plan to be gone about ten days. Tuesday evening the South ward New Testament class was taken for a swim to the Cascade swimming pool in Washington by Keith Tobler and L. K. Larson. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pratt and children of Barstow. Texas spent Thursday through Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Williams, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Englestead. |
