Show Public Interested In Knowing When Tabernacle Will Be Done BY MABEL JARVIS Each month the people not only of St. George, but of the surrounding sur-rounding wards of the stake are asking "how much longer before the upper rooms of the St. George stake tabernacle will be ready for use?" That is a fair question and one the stake officers of-ficers would be happy to answer. It was hoped the building would be ready for the March conference, then for the June conference and now all are looking look-ing forward with hopes that it may be ready for the September conference. It is understood tins may be possible, but only if those who can, will make it reality. Yes, that means money is needed. The amount is the unpaid balance of the last ward allocation, which the bishops of the various wards will have in mind. The stake presidency realizes that the call for help is being (Continued on page five) Tabernacle (Continued from first page) constantly sent out and that the people are hard pressed for meeting meet-ing all of these calls. They also recall, however, that throughout the years the greatest accomplishments accomplish-ments of the church have come at times when it seemed the people had the least, and that blessings followed their perser-verance. perser-verance. At this time they have worked out a graph which will accompany accom-pany this article showing what must be accomplished to bring the balance up to the peak necessary neces-sary for finishing the building and indicating how the percentages percent-ages of funds have thus far grown towards the completion of this project. They ask that this graph be studied by the different wards and if possible that each one work out some project to gather the needed amounts to complete their allotment, that we may not be disappointed another quarterly conference. |
