Show Veyo Mrs. James F. Cottam Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bowler and Mrs. Metta Talbott left last week for San Diego, Calif., on business. Berle and Nelle Bowler of Gun-lock Gun-lock are here visiting at the home of their prandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Bowler. Mrs. Ann Egget of Bountiful, Utah, has spent the past two weeks visiting with Mrs. Fred Chadbum and Mrs. Clive Bunker. She left last week for California points to visit relatives before returning re-turning home. Lem S. Leavitt was operated on at the hospital in St. George last Monday. His daughter, Mrs. Charles Bledsoe of Compton, Calif., came to be with the family until his recovery. Mrs. David Canfield and small son from Nevada are guests at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lem S. Leavitt. A number of our Sunday school officers attended union meeting Sunday at Enterprise. Mrs. Lewis Bowler and daughter, daugh-ter, Nola, returned last week from a week's visit at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Benjamin Chadburn returned re-turned last week from Los Angeles after a three week's vacation va-cation there with her sister. Fern Chadburn has gone to Summit, Utah, to visit relatives. Mrs. Phyllis Peers and small daughter left Sunday evening for their home in Santa Barbara, Calif., after visiting for the past 10 days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Cottam. Mr. and' Mrs. Albert Bunker and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. F. Cottam and family, of Veyo; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bunker, Mr. and Mrs. Win Walker and family of Delta; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Karchner Karch-ner and son of Butte, Mont.; Mrs. J. E. Blazzard, of Logan; Mr. and Mrs. Justin Chamberlain Chamber-lain and family, of Kanab, and their mother, Mrs. Mary J. Bunker of St. George met in a family reunion of the descendants of Stephen A. Bunker at Pine Valley park on Sunday, Aug. 18. There were 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a number of invited guests present. After a picnic lunch, a short program of songs and music was rendered. The party then motored to the Veyo cemetery where a marker was placed at the grave of the father, Stephen A. Bunker with an appropriate program. They then all enjoyed a swim at the Veyo swimming pool as guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Cottam. Most of the party left I that evening for their homes. |
