Show Washington County Schools To Open September 3 Considerable Building Repair Work Will Aid In Coming Year All schools in Washington county except the Dixie junior college will open on Tuesday, Sept. 3. The Dixie junior college, both the upper and lower divisions, will open Monday, Sept. 9. With the exception of four recent resignations, resigna-tions, all teaching positions are filled and plans completed for the school opening, declares Lloyd McArthur, county school clerk. Due to the small number of students at Central there will be o school there this year. Students Stu-dents are to be transported to Veyo. Supt. Milton E. Moody is in Salt Lake City attempting to fill the four vacancies that were left by teachers resigning. Louise Hopkins, who is to be married; Merrill Fawson, Lena Nelson, who is retiring and Charles Ol-5en, Ol-5en, who is being called into the army, are the positions that Superintendent Sup-erintendent Moody is to fill. Good Outlook School authorities report that prospects are good for a fine school year. With the new building build-ing and repairs to others, the school property is in much better condition and should enable the carrying through of a better organized org-anized program.
