Show Mack R. Dalton, 58, succumbs, funeral on Saturday Mack Robinson Dalton, 58, Parowan resident, died last Wednesday in a Salt Lake hospital after an extended illness. ill-ness. Funeral services were conducted for him on Saturday Satur-day at 1 p. m. in the First-Second First-Second Ward chapel here with Bishop Bruce Matheson of the First Ward presiding. Richard T. Harris, a close neighbor, and Howard Joseph were speakers at the services with brief remarks made by Bishop Matheson. The family prayer was offered by Ray i Morris, the invocation was by Lewis Dalton, the benediction was by Bud Munford and the grave in the Parowan City cemetery was dedicated by A. Hills Orton. The national colors were posted by members of Parowan Paro-wan Post No. 20, American Legion, who also conducted military rites at the graveside. Musical numbers included two songs by a double mixed mix-ed quartet, "That Beautiful i Country", and "Abide with Me", and a vocal solo "Goin' Home" by Howard Knight accompanied ac-companied by his daughter Kristine. Members of the quartet quar-tet were Alice and Karl Mitchell, Mitch-ell, Rulan and Berta Dalton, Ola Robinson, Frankie Bentley and Verl Taylor. Itha Mortensen Morten-sen was accompanist and was also at the organ for prelude and postlude music. Pallbearers were Kay and Gary Davis, Scott L. Orton, Lewis Dalton, Ronald Bess and Boyd Whitney Flowers were carried by the ladies of the ward Relief Society. Mr. Dalton was born in Parowan Par-owan March 14, 1911 to Joseph and Nellie Robinson Dalton, and spent his early life here. He married Viola Connyers, and was later divorced. He was a veteran oi." World War II and a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his mother, moth-er, with whom he lived here: a son, Wallace and a daughter daugh-ter Mrs. Ralph (Junnettet Mc-Fee, Mc-Fee, both of Blackfoot Idaho, and two grandchildren. |
