Show Music workshop production dates at Southern Utah State College set "Fiorello," the popular Broadway play dramatizing the life of the late Fiorello LaGuardia, has been selected as the course project of the musical production workshop currently underway at Southern South-ern Utah State College. Production Pro-duction dates are July 4 and 5, with performances to begin at 8:30 p.m. in the SUSC Music Center. The play depicts incidents m the life of LaGuardia that made him one of the most colorful and popular mayors over to serve the city of New York. Ho was a man, who dur. ing a newspaper strike, went on the air and read the comics to the children of the city. He was the first person in the city to enlist in the armed forces when the nation became be-came involved in World War I. He was also the individual responsible for instigating the draft. The play will demonstrate the elements workshop students stu-dents are studying to learn more about school play production. pro-duction. Techniques they are required to use include planning, plan-ning, casting, staging, blocking, block-ing, conducting, and follow-up. Fred C. Adams, SUSC drama director, is directing the production. pro-duction. Roene DiFiore, activi-ty activi-ty coordinator at Dixie College, Col-lege, is supervising vocal preparation. pre-paration. The orchestra ls under un-der the direction of Prof. Roy L. Halversen, director of orchestral or-chestral music at SUSC. Overall Over-all producer is Dr. Blaine Johnson, director of choral music at SUSC and workshop coordinator.
