Show Summer Sports Fitness School to be repeated at Southern Utah State College I The highly successful Summer Sum-mer Sports Fitness School conducted con-ducted at Southern Utah State College during the summer of ' 1908 will be repeated this summer, it was announced by Bruce Osborne, assistant dean for physical education in the SUSC School of Education. Geared to participation by boys and girls ages 9 through 13, the four-week program, which begins July 7, will of- for expert Instruction In physique, phys-ique, organic capacity, motor efficiency, performance, understanding, un-derstanding, self control, and motivation for endurance. Specific activities will include in-clude weght traning, aquatics, gymnastics and posture train-ilng, train-ilng, track and field, field ath-' ath-' letics and conditioning activ-ites, activ-ites, and endurance events. Classes will be hold each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1 to 3:45 p.m. Prof. Osborne said that each child will be given a comprehensive compre-hensive series of physical fitness fit-ness test items before the start of the program and at the end of the session. Data will be recorded, re-corded, scored, plotted and graphed in terms of individual individ-ual profiles. The profile sheets will be made available to parents so that they can see the effect of such a program, according to Prof. Osborne. Individual interpretations will be made to the boys, girls, and parents. |
