Dr. Topping explained that the reason for his visit to the library was to provide professional advice on caring and obtaining supplies for the special section of the library. "Through the local historical society chapter we can provide training and supplies for keeping the project up to professional standards," Dr. Topping said. "We would like to mount an agressive collecting campaign for pictures or manuscripts to add to our collection," Mrs. Burton said. She said there are three reasons for collecting the materials; so they are in a central location so people can use them; in case the originals are destroyed, copies can be available for historical purposes; and because it helps plan for the future. "This area is slated for massive change," Dr. Topping said, "by preserving the past we can plan for the future." Mrs. Burton said the facility is of interest to authors of fictional and non-fictional non-fictional histories. "The only problem we have is not enough storage space," she added. Most of the historical collection is in a small room behind the main desk at the county library. : middle and late middle age. The color vermillion is obtained by mixing together in a revolving drum, mercury, sulphur and a solution of potash in water. The mixture is then heated to about 115 degrees where it gradually gradual-ly assumes a red color. The name comes from the French word meaning lit tle worm. This was because a former red color col-or called crimson was obtained ob-tained from a small red worm.
