Show Uintah to host Tooele The Uintah Ute gymnastics team dropped a close meet to the Spartans on Thursday, 186 to 174. Keni Hacking placed second in the optional floor exercises at 8.0 and Joy Remington placed fourth at 7.25. Kaye McDowell netted fifth place at 6.7. Lisa Oswald placed fourth in the class-3 balance beam at 6.85 and netted sixth place in the class 3 floor exercises at 8.6. Dujuanna Horrocks nabbed sixth place in the balance beam at 6.65. Kathy Chivers garnered sixth place in the class 3 bars at 6.45 and McDowell pocketed fourth place in the class 3 vault at 6.5. Remington placed fifth at 6.4 and Hacking nabbed sixth place at 6.3. Chivers garnered fifth place in the optional vault at 4.75 and McDowell netted third place in the optional balance beam at 4.9. Remington placed fourth at 3.75 and Diane Adams nabbed fifth place at 3.3. Ruth Williams placed sixth at 2.85. The Uintah Utes will host Tooele, Thursday. Warmups will begin at 3:30 p.m. and the meet will begin at 4:30 p.m. The region meet is set for April 3 at Cyprus High School. Uintah's girl track team will host Judge Memorial, April 2. Vernal Junior High's gynmastics team will battle the Vikings at West Junior High, Thursday at 4 p.m. and will take part in a tournament at West Junior High, April 4. |
