Show Dental Survey In County Schools Made By Nurse A dental survey was made in three Duchesne County Elementary Elemen-tary schools during early Feb., reports Miss Fay Pope, public health nurse. Dr. D. G. Mantyla, Roosevelt dentist, examined the teeth of first grade pupils at the Roosevelt, Altamont and Duchesne Elementary schools as a part of the National Dental Survey program, pro-gram, which was sponsored locally local-ly by the Utah State Department of Health, Miss Pope said. Purpose of the survey was to find out the condition of the teeth of this age group of pupils in order to use as a basis of judging methods or practices for building and keeping healthier teeth. Dr. Mantyla gave an illustrated lecture to each group of he pupils pu-pils explaining the importance of diet and cleanliness for the care of the teeth. |
