Show ATTEND M MEN TOURNAMENT Mr. and Mrs. J. V. McLea are spending the week in Provo attending at-tending the M Men basketball tournament. Their son, Bill, is playing on the Logan Fifth ward 1 team. - ( Doyle Huber and John Perry, former Union High School stud-, ents, were also in the tournament, representing the Ogden Fifth ward. John's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ashel Perry, of Fort Duchesne, were among the fans witnessing the games Tuesday. Ken Nickell and Leon Ross, also former Union Un-ion High stars, are playing on the Provo 13th ward. Ruth Redmond, of Ruth's Sewing Sew-ing Circle, returned recently from Denver, where she spent nine days taking a zig-zag sewing course by Necchi-Elna. She also attended the Opal Hart School of Design. Among Roosevelt basketball fans witnessing the M Men basketball I tournament games in Provo Tues- day were George Hacking, Floyd Ross, Cliff Memmott, Anthon B. Christensen and Devan Fenn. Mrs. Rex Clark has been visiting visit-ing in Salt Lake City the past week with her niece and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Bird. She re-1 turned home Tuesday night. i Mr. and Mrs. Anthon B. Christensen Chris-tensen were dinner "guests of Mr. and Mrs. Max Abbott in Vernal i last Wednesday prior to attending the Union-Uintah basketball game. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Freston and Mrs. Ralph Durfee returned Tuesday Tues-day from an enjoyable vacation trip to Tucson and Mesa, Arizona and Mexico. They report a wonderful won-derful time and ideal weather. |
