Squire Mangum returned home on Saturday after enjoying the past few weeks in California, Arizona Ar-izona and New Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mitchell, of Provo, visited two days the past week at the home of Mrs. Mitchell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jenkins. Mrs. Erma Anderton taught school at Alterra, Friday, for Mrs. Hilda Faulkner. Mrs. Leland Angus took her daughter, JoAnn to Salt Lake on Friday to consult a doctor. PREPARATION MEETING Primary Preparation meeting for the Primary was held Thursday evening in the Relief Society room at the chapel. After the lesson work, refreshments were served by Mrs. Beth Mangum and Mrs. Beth Evans. There were fifteen officers and teachers present. - The Harden Labrums had the misfortune to have their car run into and damaged quite badly one day last week. j Bishop Golden Collins and daughter, Kay, and, son, Tommy, motored to Provo last Friday, where they were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Johnson. The Bishop attended the basketball basket-ball game at the "Y" with Mr. Johnson. They returned home on Saturday. Robert Stolla and Miss Cherrill Johnson, of Fillmore, spent last weekend with Robert's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric A. Stolla. Both of the young people are employed in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Jesse Hullinger, Mrs. Thomas Thom-as Jeppson, Mrs. Russel Todd, Mrs. Cecil Jenkins and Mrs. Golden Gol-den Collins assisted in quilting a silk quilt for Mrs. Lawrence Brighton at the S. A. Brighton home last week. Clarence Betts, who is employed employ-ed in Carbon County, spent the weekend with his family in Roosevelt, Roose-velt, and visited with his son, Kenneth, who is home on a furlough. RESIGNS POSITION Clyde Wahlquist, of Vernal, formerly of Ballard, has resigned as manager of Safeway Stores in Vernal, a position he has held for one and one-half years. Word is that Robert Stolla was leaving Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Feb. 16, for Los Angeles, Calif., where he is being transferred trans-ferred by the company he has been employed with in Salt Lake, for some time. Bryce White was home from Provo to spend the weekend with relatives. He was accompanied by Miss JoAnn Parkington, of Oakland, Oak-land, Calif. Both are students at the B.Y.U. Mrs. Harold Gardner and son, of Salt Lake City, spent two or three days visiting relatives here. Her leg, which she broke some time ago, is still in a cast. Several Sever-al of the relatives held a get-together at the Earl Gardner's one evening while she was here. Her husband came out on Friday and took her home.
