Show Roosevelt Scout District First To End Fund Drive Joseph E. Olpin, Roosevelt Boy Scout Finance chairman, reports that the 1954-55 finance drive has successfully been completed to place the Roosevelt District as the first district of the Uintah Basin to complete their drive. According to Mr. Olpin there were eighteen who qualified as Sustaining Members of the Utah National Parks Council, Boy Scouts of America. They were: Mountain States Telephone &Tele-graoh &Tele-graoh Company, Utah Power & Light Company, the Commercial Club, Ben Turner, E. Floyd Ross, Heber T. Haii, Drollinger Furniture, Furni-ture, Cash Met Market, Ashton's, J. V. McLea, J. C. Penney, D. L. Campbell, Clyde Murray, Louie Laris, Clifton N. Memmott, R. V. Larson, Clem Labrum, and the Uintah Farmers' Mill, i Money collected in Roosevelt for Scouting will go as the dis-I dis-I trict's share of the total Utah Na-! Na-! tinnnl Council Budeet for 1954- 55. Twenty-four per cent of the budget is for leadership training and program building, 18 for camping and special activities, 2 for finance and public relations, 1 for national service, 14 for office administration, and 41 for service to cub packs, scout troops" and explorer posts through professional field service.
