Show School Notes LONGHORN ROUND-UP Our lovely queen, Miss Virginia Swasey, walked off with the title "Sweetheart of Uintah Basin" Sat. night at the annual Sweetheart Ball held at Union High. Virginia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Swasey of Boneta, is a junior student at Altamont. As a token of rememberance of her great honor she received a lovely rhinestone necklace and earring set. She wore a billowy white net ballerina length evening dress, accentuated with tiny ruffles ruf-fles and a strapless, fitted bodice. Her corsage was red carnations. Her escort, Max Brotherson, was proud to dance his charming lady around the floor for all to see. No one was more proud than we, of our Sweetheart, and our school. In commemoration of the lives of all great men and to acknowledge our patriotism to our land of liberty an assembly is being planned -for the 22nd of February. A contest is being sponsored to give the school orchestra a new name. Since the name of "Peel and his Peelers" does not represent repre-sent the student body as a group. |
