Show DMDGELAriD Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee DUP Meeting Held Thursday The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Pio-neers of the Red-Anti-A-View camp held their February meeting meet-ing on Thursday at the home of Mrs. Mary Liddell, with Hazel Walters as co-hostess. The lesson was presented by Erma Van Tas-sell Tas-sell and the history of a grandmother grand-mother was read by Hazel Walters. Wal-ters. Pie and ice cream were served to the following daughters: Ethel Taylor, Myrl Smith, Lois Stansfield, Margaret Ross, Vera Larson, Oro Holgate, Erma Van Tassell, Myrtle Sprouse, Christina Fitzgerald, Elva Lisonbee, Hazel and Marilyn Walters and Ida Dean Horrocks. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walters left Saturday for ElMonte, Calif, to visit with relatives. They also hoped to visit in Arizona where Joe spent part of his mission. Mrs. Melissa Perkins and her son, Kurt Kofford, of Salt Lake City, visited at the" home of Mr. and Mrs. Elden Liddell during the week. Mrs. Frank Meyer, Mrs. Walter Meyer and Mrs. Jane Murphy visited vis-ited one day of the week with Mrs.' Senor Mortensen. They spent the day. quilting a quilt for Mrs. Mortensen. i Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Bromley, of Duchesne, spent Sunday afternoon after-noon visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee. The following Primary officers attended Primary convention at Duchesne, Sunday: Vernetta Meyer, Mey-er, Ethel Taylor, Donna Clayburn, LoLis Stansfield, Elda Van Tassell, JoyLeen Clayburn and LaRene Meyer. Mr. and Mrs. Wanless Shields and family attended a turkey dinner din-ner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Shields, of Arcadia, Sunday. Sun-day. Mrs. Carl Van Tassell took a car load of children from the 4th grade of the Myton school to the home of Evan Horrocks, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Horrocks of Arcadia for a Valentine party. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Young and children, of Mt. Emmons, vis- ited Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Neilsen. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brady and Mrs. Edith Brady were Provo visitors vis-itors one day during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Lisonbee Lison-bee and daughter, Shelley, visited their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Christensen, in Salt Lake City, Friday. They also visited vis-ited Mrs. Bertha Wellington and Mrs. Elsie Dean. Bertie Lisonbee was a Monday overnight guest of LaJean Mc-Kenna Mc-Kenna of Roosevelt. Mr.' and Mrs. Glen Van Tassell attended the basketball game at the BYU at Provo last Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Stansfield visited last Sunday at Vernal with Mr. and Mrs. Orson Neilsen. The occasion was Mr. Neilsens birthday birth-day anniversary. I. W. Fitzgerald and Ken Fitzgerald, Fitz-gerald, of Kamas, visited Thursday Thurs-day at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Smith visited vis-ited Sunday at Utahn with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Abplanalp. They were accompanied accompan-ied by Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Young and children, of Mt. Em-moons. Em-moons. Mrs. Ena Shelton, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, spent Saturday afternoon visiting vis-iting Mrs. Myrl Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Stansfield received word that their father, Orson Neilsen had underwent a major operation in the Vernal Hospital, Hos-pital, on Tuesday. |
