Show . Duchesne To Host Legion Confab Sunday, April 17 Registration for the District 9 American Legion and Auxiliary conference at Duchesne begins at 10 a.m., April 17, at the Duchesne Legion Hall. Registrations may be made here until 12 noon, and from noon until 1 p.m. at the Duchesne High School, where the business sessions are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. under the direction of Calvin Monks, Myton, District 9 commander and Mrs. Tina Wil-kins, Wil-kins, Roosevelt, District 9 Auxiliary Auxil-iary president. Some 200 Legionnaires, Auxiliary Auxil-iary members, and their partners are expected to attend the convention con-vention from the posts and units in Duchesne and Uintah counties Altonah, Jensen, Myton, Roosevelt, Roose-velt, Ft. Duchesne, Vernal, and Duchesne. A banquet will be served at the Duchesne High School following the business meetings. Ernest Junior Jun-ior Wilson, commander of the Duchesne Du-chesne post, and Mrs. Maxine W. Burdick, Duchesne unit president of the Auxiliary, are in charge of arrangements for registration program and banquet. Mann's Cafe of Duchesne is preparing pre-paring most of the banquet food. The Auxiliary unit will prepare the dessert and arrange for table setting. Election of District Nine officers for the Legion and Auxiliary will be a main agenda item. |
