Show Union Will Host Inter-Basin Track, Field SVSeet Union High School will be hosts to five high schools in the Uintah Basin at an invitational track and field meet tomorrow, Friday, beginning be-ginning at 2:30. Schools invited will include Tabiona, Duchesne, Altamont and Uintah from Region Five, and Rangely, from Colorado. According to Glen Allred, Union Un-ion coach, who is chairman of the committee in charge of the meet, five places will be counted in each event, including relays. No individual athlete may compete com-pete in more than four events during the day. He may elect to enter three field and one track event, or three track and one field; or two of each. Entrance in a relay will count as an event. A recent action of the board of managers of Region Five has done away with the all-region meet, with one to be held in the Basin (May 5), and one in the Emery-Grand-San Juan division. Top winners in both divisions will go to the state meet. |
