Show Gusher Cleo Pappas Miss Afton Bodily, a Brigham Young University student, came home to spend the Easter weekend week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bodily. She also came to ' attend a party given in honor of John Perry, who is leaving on a mission. We wish John all the luck in the world. Mrs. A. D. Semken was taken ill a week ago and was taken to the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. Frances Bullock. Mrs. Semken is suffering from a slight heart condition con-dition and high blood pressure. Last word received was that she will be home this Saturday. The Nick Pappas family . were in Salt Lake for the funeral of a dear friend who lived with them for the past 10 years. He was buried at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Salt Lake. - Mrs. Robina Ferguson spent a very pleasant week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Blanchard, at Montwel. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Murray and small son, of Ft. Collins, Colo., ( and Perry Bingham, who is a student at the USAC at Logan, are visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Von Haslem. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Haye? and small daughter daugh-ter are visiting at the Haslem home, also. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Sixkiller made a trip to Salt Lake City last week. It was combined with business bus-iness and pleasure. Mr. and Hrs. George Bracken received a telephone call from Salt Lake City last Wednesday of the announcement of a baby born April 5th at the Holy Cross Hospital Hos-pital to Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Pool. Mrs. Pool will be remembered remem-bered as the former Rhea Bracken. Brack-en. The Pools have two daughters. Mrs. Charles Bingham worked in the Alterra lunch room Monday, Mon-day, April 4, as a substitute for Mrs. Agnes Walker. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Robinson, of Salt Lake City, visited with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Enerson, last week. School was dismissed Wednesday, Wednes-day, April 6, for spring vacation. The teachers left for their various homes for a few days rest. Mrs. Floyd Bryce and Mrs. Les Mullins, of Salt Lake City, have spent some time with their father, Xavier Bellon, who is very ill at his home. Mrs. Bellon spent several sev-eral days in Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wiscombe and Mr. and Mrs. Wendel Johnson of Provo, were at Ballard Sunday evening to attend the testimonial for Gary Gardner. They were former for-mer members of Ballard ward. Mrs. Junior Betts took her group of Beehive girls and spent some time one afternoon last week with JoAnn Angus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Angus. Refreshments Refresh-ments were enjoyed by all. VISITS IN SALT LAKE Mrs. George Bracken spent several sev-eral days during spring vacation, visiting at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Bracken, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Bracken and Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Pool, and getting acquainted ac-quainted with her new grandson. She also visited with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Todd and family. Jesse Hullinger and family motored mo-tored to Lewiston, Idaho during school vacation to get Mrs. Hullinger, Hul-linger, who has been staying with her daughter, Mrs. Kent Gneitting since the arrival of the new baby. Barbara returned with them. Mrs. Ora Campbell, of Kays-ville, Kays-ville, was a viistor with friends in Ballard on Sunday. |
