Show TIME-SAVING TIPS Laundry: Time Saved Is Time Earned ear- ggse Here's a laundry tip from professionals: Sort your washables before putting them in the washer. Separate items by light and dark colors and by weight, and put heavily heav-ily soiled items in a separate load. This will help your wash come out cleaner and more wrinkle-free. And be sure to empty all pockets before clothes go into the wash. Wax crayons, gum or tissues can have a disastrous effect on the laundry. Using an all-fabric bleach, such as Clorox 2, along with your detergent in every wash-load wash-load saves time and money by helping to get out dirt and stains every time you wash. If dirt and stains aren't completely com-pletely removed the first time they're washed, they can be- come set, making them much tougher to remove. Once you've decided to do the laundry, commit yourself to it. When laundered clothes are left in the washer they can develop an unpleasant odor that only means washing them again. Clothes left in the dryer overnight over-night mean extra hours of ironing. Fold or hang laundry as soon as it's dry. |
