Show PERC offers seminar for local parents Systematic Training for Effective Effec-tive Parenting (STEP), a popular training seminar for parents is being offered by the Parent Education Educa-tion Resource Center (PERC). The course stresses raising responsible re-sponsible children and helps parents pa-rents explore new alternatives for achieving this goal. The approaches taught in this course are tried and tested and have been helpful to many parents over an extended period of time. The instructor for the course is Lorene Newbold. Mrs. Newbold has a masters degree in school psychology from Utah State University. Uni-versity. She has worked in the Weber We-ber School District and is currently a homemaker and mother of three children. The program will consist of five sessions which will be held on consecutive con-secutive Wednesdays beginning Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Monte Vista Center, 100 South 200 East, Farmington. Class size will be limited and pre-registration pre-registration is required. The cost of the course is $23 per couple and $ IS per individual. This includes the cost of a manual. PERC is open Monday through Friday 8:30-4 8:30-4 and on Wednesdays until 7 p.m. STEP is the first of a number of classes on a wide variety of subjects sub-jects which will be presented this year by the Parent Education Resource Re-source Center.
