This authorization was made at By KATHRYN JENNINGS Farmington City Council considered consi-dered the culinary test well agreements agree-ments and land lease in South Farmington with an option to purchase pur-chase Lot 315 in Country Hills. The council approved the authorization author-ization to make the final terms to consider the site. THE MONTGOMERY Engineering En-gineering firm was awarded a contract con-tract to draw up the specifications THE COUNCIL approved the adoption of Resolution 86-4, proclaiming proc-laiming Primary Children's Medical Medic-al Center Week, Feb. 16-22. The request was made by Tom Santise. The council considered adopting a Site Plan Ordinance. There were changes which should be made before be-fore a decision is made. The council coun-cil directed the planning commission commis-sion to review the proposed changes and have the ordinance ready for consideration at the next meeting. THERE WERE garbage collection collec-tion concerns with information that the service has deteriorated throughout the city during the past weeks. After discussion, it was decided to advertise for bids as of July 1, when the present contract expires. THERE WAS consideration of authorizing credit on the Knowlton Elementary School water and sewer sew-er bill of $2,659.20. The bill was high because of a leak. The council voted to deny the request. A resolution was passed to increase in-crease the fees for site plan reviews. re-views. The existing fee of $150 is inadequate to cover the administrative adminis-trative costs incurred by the city of Farmingtoin its staff undertaking the review. THE CITY'S policy is that new development should bear its own costs and reimburse the city for the administrative costs and services. The new fee structure is based 1 on the gross acreage of the project with a minimum fee of $600. kj the council meeting on Feb. 1 2 with Mayor Bob Arbuckle and all council coun-cil members present. RICK MAYFIELD, director of Davis County Council of Governments Govern-ments presented the Davis County Expanded Economic Development Develop-ment Plan in connection with the Benchmark Chamber of Commerce. Com-merce. He discussed a new plan of COG to help fund the economics development de-velopment push in Davis County. The plan is to bring in industrial and commercial programs for the economic development of the county. BOB WARD also spoke on this matter, this organization requests funds from the cities to support this economic development program. Councilman Tennant made the motion to support this program with 4 yes votes and 1 no vote. The amount of funds for the program will be considered in the budget preparation for the FY 86-87. CANDLAND Olsen was requesting request-ing annexation to Farmington City to rezone R-20 to R-S for a 36 acre site which fronts on Clark Lane at approximately 650 West. The council moved to table the request until further study of the issue can be made. The council approved the appointment of councilman Paul White as deputy city treasurer. They also appointed James Bell as South District Emergency Preparedness Pre-paredness Coordinator and Robert Brown as assistant DEPC. |
