Show Out East Mill Creek Way Former EMC Residents Visiting, BsskefbdS Practice Gets Underway Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Wilcox and their son, Jack, have been re- ' cent visitors to East Mill Creek. The Wilcoxes are former residents resi-dents of E. M. C, having moved to Oregon several years ago. However, they have now bought them a three-acre farm in south-eriVtalifornia south-eriVtalifornia and they have a new home almost completed. , Frank Walker spent a couple of clays visiting his family and friends in Salt Lake this past1 week. His wife, the former Barbara Robinson, came with him and will spend some time at home while Frank goes to Washington. If he is stationed in Washington long enough, Earbara will join him there. However, the Navy plans eventually even-tually to send him to Alaska for a short while. Things didn't go so well over the week end for the Julian Ncff family. Last Saturday Mr. Neff was brought in from the ranch and taken to the hospital. He spent several days thert be fore the pain subsided and he was able to go home. That jams day, Nina Lou Neff was taken to the hospital for a tonsilec-tomy. tonsilec-tomy. She came home the next day. Basketball season got underway under-way this week in the East Mill Creek Ward when the M-Men and Senior Scouts had their first practice sessions. Ij. J. Sheffield is coach for the M-Men this year, while L. B. Tanner is taking the I Senior Scouts under his wing. ! It has not yet been determined , what night league play will take place, but the regular sea son does not begin until the ' first of November. |
