Mosl western states now have Jeep Posses, search and rescue posses pos-ses and jeep patrols. Bountiful is the only city with a jeep posse. pos-se. All vehicles, time and manpower man-power are donated as a community com-munity service without any reimbursement. The posse has assisted city, county and state organizations in fire protection, search and rescue and traffic control. Over 4700 man and vehicle hours were donated last spring during the run off in Davis Countv. HUNTER SAFETY classes will also be offered throughout the year. These will be published pub-lished in the newspaper and in the local schools. The posse has approximately 75 four wheel drives. 50 equipped with 2-way radios. 40 snowmobiles. 30 motorcycles. 15 ATC's. 4 boats, a plane, horses, a search light with generator and a firebrush. This equipment enables en-ables good versatility in any situation. ' The posse is proud of its long-time service to the community com-munity and hopes to continue it in the future. |
