Show Brighton, Good As They Say SALT LAKE CITY - Although no one was ready to present Brighton with the state trophy following their convincing win over Viewmont, View-mont, the Viking coaches were certainly impressed im-pressed with their foes: ' "IF THEY (Brighton) play like that the rest of the tournament then I honestly believe they'll run away with the title" assessed Viking Vik-ing coach Ron Johansen. "They are a very good ballteam, by far the best club we've faced all year. They run the court well, shoot well and then when they do miss they hit the offensive offen-sive boards hard." Other than that the Bengals are just another team. Both clubs came into the battle a little tight and after several minutes of play the Brighton side held a 5-0 lead but then both sides settled down and we had a real good ballgame for two quarters. Bret Cloward, Bill White and David Rees hit consecutive buckets for the Viewmont View-mont side and all of a sudden the Vikes were up 6-5. IT SEEMED as if from this point on the two sides took turns making little runs. First the Bengals scored six straight points but then big Jeff McNiel hit a couple of hoops for the Vikes and after one period the Bengals held a slim 16-14 advantage. continued from pg. 1 "We had 20 turnovers tonight and v0 do that against a team like Brighton Tk extremely well and when they missed tithe ti-the rebound, look at that 1 5 offensive bo ' p, the second half muttered JohansenV- or looking at the stat sheet, "then look '.
